THOMPSON, Elma Irene...born in Brampton, April 26, 1933 and passed away at Kingston General Hospital on Monday June 12, 2017. She is predeceased by her parents Albert & Florence Parr. Elma, loving wife of the late Leslie Thompson. Beloved mother of Wayne, Lesley Anne & her husband Stephen, Scott & Heather and Stephen & Wanda and mother in law of Bonnie, Barny and Carol. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jeff & Karla, Jason, Jennifer, Wade, Andrew, Cynthia, Philip, Christopher, and her great grandchildren Devin, Mikayla, Kayden and Jaxson. She is survived by her sister Betty & Nelson South, her brother Bert Parr and her sisters in law Eileen McKinney, Gertrude Atkinson and Marguerite Strangways. Predeceased by her sister Merle & her husband Alan South. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Elma spent her professional career with Avro Aviation, Johnson Brothers Trucking, Copeland Chatterson, Peel Printing, and was the co-founder of Thompson Business Forms. After retiring, she spent her time supporting Les with his hobbies and fulfilling his dream of farming with the establishment of Lawless Farms. Her passions in life were hosting her family and friends in her home and cottage, 4H, crafting her handmade creations, curling, and most importantly raising her four children. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Trenton, Belleville and Kingston hospitals for all of their kind support and compassion.
