On Saturday August 4th. from 8:00 am until the awesome event closing Street Dance featuring the Classic Rock'n Roll and Blues sounds of "Deja Blues” the public is invited to join us and take part in “Consecon Community Day 2018.”

Come out and be part of this daylong, festivities filled, family occasion with something for everyone. Kicking off at 8:00 am is the “Car Boot Sale” in the Terra Italian Restaurant parking lot or do your bargain hunting at the area-wide Garage and Yard Sales happening at the same time. Consecon Masonic Lodge will host an 8:00 am “Pancake Breakfast,” in the Lodge Hall.

After breakfast stroll about or hop on the free horse-drawn wagon rides around the village to visit the various locations and take in all the events. Be sure to check out the newly hung Consecon Community Street Banners, they might spark an idea to create your own 2 minute video to enter into the “2 days in Consecon Video Contest.” The Consecon Legion is hosting a licensed Waterfront Patio throughout the day. In the morning, the Consecon United Church Women hold their Craft/Bake Sale in the Church Hall. The Bay of Quinte Aeromodellers will hold their Annual Open House at their Bob Corner Airfield on Stinson Block Rd, don't miss “FunFly” featuring many different types of model aircraft. The Merchant's Mill will have 'Art on the Lawn' with local art displays and demonstrations, and interesting edibles to savour. Visit Janet B Gallery & Studio, for 'Art on the Lawn', art demonstrations and have a hand in designing a Community Art Piece to be auctioned off at the Street Dance. The Consecon Library will hold their annual the used book sale, and the kids can make their own Soap Box Derby Flag. Stop by the Consecon Honey House, do some Bee Box painting, the kid's will love it. The Mill PEC Waterfront Restaurant will host an outdoor BBQ for your lunchtime pleasure, then slip next door to the Goddess Fab Jewelery Design Studio featuring Wine Lovers Jewelry. Terra Italian Restaurant will host afternoon music featuring “The Dark Lords of Salem Road” Wine Tasting and a licensed Consecon Day special menu.

After lunch, make your way to the afternoon feature event, The “8th Annual Consecon Soap Box Derby” which rolls out on the Mill Street hill at Noon. After cheering the kids on at the Derby, if you haven't already done so, stop by Fonterra Farm Camp & Brewery and witness a demonstration of Heritage Beer Making Techniques, or head along Lakeside Drive to Terra Estates Winery overlooking Consecon Lake for Wine Tasting and Charcuterie. Don't miss out on The Consecon Day Specials at Strato's Pizzeria across Highway 33 opposite the water tower.

Now that the races and samplings are over, it's time to head on over to the Consecon Legion, chill a little and take your time and enjoy the “Pig Roast Dinner” starting at 5:00 pm, which leads into the “Street Dance” on Mill Street in front of the Legion and Masonic Hall.
