Wet grounds keeping some baseball fields closed in the County

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY – Despite the warmer temperatures, some baseball fields in Prince Edward County won’t be open due to extremely wet ground conditions.

Municipal staff in the County are continuing to monitor the saturated grounds and say the following fields have been closed for safety reasons. They also ask that residents stay off the closed grounds to prevent any unnecessary damage.

However, some ball parks are currently open to the public at the time being. Check out the list below:

  • Both fields at Westfall Park in Carrying Place are CLOSED
  • Both fields at the Picton Arena/Community Center are OPEN
  • Both fields (the regular diamond and the small t-ball diamond) at Roblin Lake / Ameliasburgh Park are OPEN
  • All Three fields at the Wellington & District Community Centre are OPEN
  • The field at Delhi Park is OPEN

County staff will provide further updates as they become available.
