Police are asking for public's help in their investigation of an armed robbery at a drug store in Colborne.

Northumberland OPP say two men carrying knives entered Downey Pharmacy on King Street East at around 10:25 on April 19.

One of them threatened a staff member, while the other stole an unspecified quantity of narcotics from behind the counter.

Both suspects then fled and got into a white Chrysler minivan, with the Ontario Licence plate number CBFJ552, and parked on Percy Street. Investigators determined the plate had been reported stolen from Durham Region.

One suspect is described as white, about 25 - 35 years old, 6' 1" tall, with a thin build, and wearing a grey hooded sweater, black jogging pants and white running shoes.

The other man is described as white, also 25 - 35 years old, 5' 8" tall, with a stocky build, and wearing a grey hooded sweater and black and white running shoes.

No one was injured during the robbery, and the incident remains under investigation by the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit.

Anyone with information about the holdup should contact the Brighton detachment office 613-475-1313 or toll free 1-888-310-1122 or Peterborough-Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court.
