Stirling curler competing at national U18 championship
A Stirling teen is on her way to Moncton to take on the country this week.
Kayla Gray’s under 18 women’s curling team will compete in the national U18 championships from Tuesday through the weekend against 11 other teams from across the country.
Gray, along with vice Mikayla Gemmill from Perth, second Chelsea Ferrier from Perth, and lead Morgan Typhair of Brighton, along with coach Kim Yeoman of Stirling, won the Ontario title in Hamilton to earn the trip to Moncton.
Team Ontario plays out of Pool A with Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northern Ontario and Newfoundland.
Ontario opens action Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. (AT) against Saskatchewan before playing Manitoba Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The semi finals at Saturday at 1 p.m. and the finals Saturday at 5 p.m.
