MP Kim Rudd meets with officials in Nevada
An eastern-Ontario MP is spending some time in Nevada as she champions some of Canada's most important industries.
Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Kim Rudd sat down with a number of officials yesterday, including Governor Brian Sandoval.
Rudd, on her twitter account, said that the exchange was very positive.
She says that she and the Governor both reiterated the importance of the 2.4 billion dollars in trade between Canada and Nevada in the mining and energy sectors.
Rudd also said it was important to tell legislators in the "Silver State" about the importance of the 5,000 jobs in Nevada which are linked to mining interests in Canada.
An estimated 83-thousand jobs in Nevada rely on Canadian trade.
