Marmora brothers sentenced
Two Marmora brothers charged in connection with several break and enters in the Marmora and Roseneath areas have been sentenced.
Terry Crockatt, 37, and Cory Crockatt, 35, pled guilty in Peterborough Provincial Court recently to mischief under $5,000 and wearing a disguise with intent.
Cory Crockatt was also convicted of break and enter and breach of probation .
Terry was given credit for six months presentence custody, and Cory received credit for 11 months presentence custody.
Both men were sentenced to one day in jail, were put on two years probation, and were ordered to provide a sample to the National DNA Data Bank.
The Crockatt brothers were arrested by Northumberland O-P-P after police investigated two break-ins to a convenience store on the Alderville First Nation and another break and enter at a gas station in Marmora in March and April of last year.
The total value of the stolen property from the three incidents was estimated at over $20,000.
