Team Jarvis: skip Julie Jarvis, vice Stephanie Taft, second Kerri Lott and lead Cindy Grills SUBMITTED PHOTO

Jarvis scores eight-ender

For the third time this season, a women's team at Quinte Curling Club has scored an eight-ender.

The Julie Jarvis rink, playing in women's league play Monday night, scored the curling equivalent of a hole in one or no-hitter.

The team of Jarvis, vice Stephanie Taft, second Kerri Lott and lead Cindy Grills picked up the perfect end just a day after winning Trenton Ladies bonspiel on the weekend.

Earlier this year, Lisa Glisky's rink scored an eight-ender during the Quinte Ladies Bonspiel, an event the Jarvis team won, and just days before that Mary Phoenix Parker's team had a perfect end during the ladies day league.

According to Curling Ontario, through the middle of December there had been 20 eight-enders in Ontario this curling season. Last year there were 57 all season.
