Firefighters respond to Crown Ridge in Trenton
There were a few anxious moments, but no fire at a retirement residence in Trenton on Friday morning.
Crews responded after multiple calls came in about a problem at The Crown Ridge at 106 Crown Street around 8 am.
The problem was reported in the East stairwell.
Firefighters on scene quickly determined that the smoke/dust was caused by a construction crew doing work outside the building.
They did ventilate the stairwell area, and residents were quickly moved out of their rooms for safety reasons.
They were allowed to return about 20 minutes later.
