FAVOURITE THINGS: Great read makes great gift
A lot of people are afraid to give books as a gift. I think they are the perfect gift! I don't care if you have an e-reader, a book is still a great gift idea for the holidays.
Here are a few of my favorite picks for this Christmas:
***From "The Notebook" to "The Longest Ride" Nicholas Sparks knows how to tell a story.
See Me is his latest book. Read it and loved it! A little dark at times but it saves it from turning into just another schmaltzy love story.
***On the lighter side Bill Murray cracks me up in his movies and his book Big Bad Book of Bill Murray is no different. Part biography, part love letter, and all fun, this book has color pics and some behind-the-scenes photography. Throw in some legendary “Murray stories” and you have a great gift.
***Everyone knows a cat lover. Perfect book for them.
Tiny Hats on Cats (because every cat deserves to feel fancy) by Adam Ellis Yes it even shows you how to make the hats for your cat.
What more is there to say?
***Shopaholic To The Rescue by Sophie Kinsella.
I am fan of all her books from Confessions of a Shopaholic to this current one. Yes they are silly but sometimes we all need an escape for a couple of hours (and yes sometimes I can see myself as Becky) A great gift for someone who just wants a laugh and a couple hours curled up on the couch.
***If you loved "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn, you will love Girl on a Train by Paula Hawkins.
I was trying to figure this one out and loved the twists. Dark but enjoyable read.
Maybe I haven't helped you with any Christmas shopping but given you an excuse to escape with a great book.
