FAVOURITE THINGS: Tough shopping made easy

I think gift certificates have gotten a bad rap in recent years. It is a perfect way to give someone a great gift experience (in my humble opinion).

A gift certificate is also great idea for something they wouldn't buy for themselves. We often don't take time for us so why not a little pampering?

Beauty Works Day Spa has some AWESOME gift ideas. Instead of a gift card for $100 give a gift card for a treatment?

Eyelash extensions have become so popular because it can give you gorgeous lashes and no mascara to deal with.

The experience is amazing as well. Lay down, close your eyes as the trained esthetician places long lush lashes onto your eyelids. I fell asleep and woke up with the lashes I wish I had been born with.

Beauty Works also has a package that includes a vichy shower sea salt glo with a 30 minute hot stone massage. Yeah you had me at massage. Buffed and polished with a massage. Sounds like a perfect way to pamper someone on your list.

The thought of giving beautiful lingerie might sound intriguing (but frightening).

Here is where a gift card is perfect!

Most ladies I know would love a chance to go pick out something gorgeous at La Maison D'Eva in downtown Belleville.

It's like a shopping spree to indulge yourself.

A gift that she will enjoy all year long.

Men say we ladies are hard to buy for? Oh no I say it's the other way around.

How about a spa treatment for him?

Beauty Works Day Spa has a package called "Gentlemen's Rejuvenator" that is three-and-a-half hours and features a 30-minute Vichy Shower Massage, Men's Skin Fitness Facial, Sport Manicure and Sport Pedicure.

Size a problem? Let him go into Lafferty's Menswear in the Quinte Mall and pick out a shirt he wants. Cool choices including shirts from the John Lennon collection. Love the designs and its not your dads dress shirt!

You can trust Tom and his staff to make the men in your life look styling.

Don't rule out the gift cards! Just show that you did put some thought into them and you are good to go.

Happy Shopping!
