Steven James Hoyt... Passed away peacefully at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 3rd, 2017 in his 63rd year. Born in Belleville, Ontario on September 27th, 1953. Resided in Trenton, Ontario.

Steven bravely fought the battle of cancer with his sense of humor still intact to the very end. 

Loved and survived by his parents James and June Hoyt of Centreville, Kings County, Nova Scotia. His siblings Dianne (Bud) Murdock of Cornwall, Susan (Teo) Boers of Trenton, Barbara (Greg) Whitney, Cambridge, N.S. and Sharon (Kevin), Keizer, Centreville, N.S. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. He especially loved the times spent with his great nephew Jonathan Boers of Foxboro. Steven worked out West for a few years, then moved to Toronto where he attended George Brown College, taking a sign painting course. He then moved to Nova Scotia and opened a sign painting business for a few years. He moved back to Trenton where he worked in the same field for Martelle Signs.

As per Steven's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Weaver Family Funeral Homes - West Chapel, 170 Dundas St. West, Trenton. A Family Graveside Service will take place in Lakeville Cemetery, N.S. at a later date.

A special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses in Kingston General Hospital, Hotel Dieu, Belleville General - Oncology Unit & especially the E.R. at Trenton Memorial Hospital. Thank you to the VON, personal support worker and all the staff who helped Steven. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trenton Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
