With profound sadness, yet joy for the amazing life we shared, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday March 8th 2017 in his 77th year.
Son of the late Clyde and Margaret Mason, Mike was married to his high school sweetheart Carol (Weaver) for nearly 53 years. He was the first love and hero of his daughter Paula Lynn (James Humble) and the best friend and fishing partner of his son Michael Brent (Michelle Roote).
“Mikey” was adored and cherished by the 3 greatest blessings in his life, his grandchildren: Blake Michael Mason Goodfellow, Payton Lynn Mason Goodfellow and Chase John Mason Goodfellow. He was their greatest supporter and biggest fan. Mike spent countless hours at the hockey rink and football/rugby fields, watching them play their favourite sports.
Mike had a huge love and respect for the outdoors, which was instilled in him from a very early age by his father Clyde and his grandfather Mike Andison. He found great joy passing this love onto his children and grandchildren.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Phillip Wattam and Shaena Dearman for all of their support.
Friends are invited to join Mike’s family at a Celebration of Life on Tuesday March 14th from 5pm to 9pm at the Trent Port Marina, 15 Creswell Drive Trenton. In keeping with Mike’s wishes, neckties will not be necessary to wear.
Donations can be made in Mike's memory to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. Online condolences at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
